Retro Gaming Consoles is a video games website for those who love older video games systems and games.
The website is split into 2 main sections:
1. Articles
Our latest articles can be displayed on our front page and in our articles archive. We cover many topics including cult consoles, classic gaming, accessories, stories, and more.
2. System Archive
Our system archive documents just about every system ever used to play a video game. We cover everything from the first computer games console ever sold to more modern systems.
The system archive is split into 3 sections: Consoles, Handhelds and classic Computer systems which were used for gaming. This section is great for those who want to be nostalgic and read about consoles they owned when they were a kid. However, it’s also a great place for everyone to find about other great consoles out there.
In general, the most recognised name for a console has been chosen. This tends to be the name used in North America and Europe however there are 1 or 2 exceptions. For example, Sega’s popular 16 bit console was released in worldwide as the Sega Megadrive but Sega could not secure the rights to the name in North America so it was rebranded as the Sega Genesis; therefore this console is listed as the Sega Mega Drive.
* Please note, due to the volume of older video games systems, this area of the site is a work in progress.
