Interton VC 4000

Released in Germany (and parts of Europe) in 1978, the Interton VC 4000 has the exact same specifications as the 1292 Advanced Programmable Video System. The console was incredibly popular within Germany but wasn’t sold many places outside of it.

Strangely, Interton always maintained that they designed the system from scratch, though many doubt this since the specifications are the 1292 and the controllers are identical too.

Although VC 4000 games don’t work with the Emerson Arcadia 2001 (which has the same processor), they do work with all variations of the 1292 Advanced Programmable Video System.

In the UK it was released as the Grundig Superplay Computer 4000.
