The Black Point was a console which was released in Europe in the early 80s from SHG. There were two models: the FS-1003 and the FS-2000. Both models were very similar and could play the same games.
The consoles had 10 game selection buttons at the front to switch between game modes. There was also a difficulty switch, reset button and a start button. The system came with two analogue controllers. Each controller had a joystick and one fire button.
Unlike other systems at the time, the Black Point consoles had no CPU. All the circuitry was placed within the game cartridges. They achieved this by putting the General Instrument CPU chips which powered the Pong systems in the 70s into the game cartridges themselves.
Included with the console was a cartridge with 10 Pong game variants including Squash, Football, Tennis ans Basketball.
You could also purchase a tank battle game which included two digital controllers (which were required to play the game). Around 7 game cartridges were released for the system.
